Duration: 3 days
Requirements: Hold the RYA Level 2 powerboat certificate,
valid 1st aid certificate, and ideally have navigation knowledge to Day
Skipper theory standard. Potential instructors are required to have plenty
of practical experience of handling a variety of different powerboats.
Course Content: The 3 days will be spent both in the classroom and
out on the water covering the RYA Scheme, teaching styles, lesson planning,
presentations, improving your own powerboating and will include time with “real” students.
The course is run by an RYA Powerboat trainer who will run the course and
be joined by another Trainer on day 3 to act as moderator.
